Choosing Between Traditional Classroom and Self-Paced Microlearning Approaches
Traditional Classroom learning approach involves direct face-to-face interaction with instructors and peers. It is however, constrained by numerous challenges, including limited flexibility in schedule and location, time-consuming and requires physical presence and travel, high costs in venue, instructor, and material costs and limited access for remote or busy health workers. There are also other challenges such as overloaded curricula in a manner in which some contents are basically more theoretical, non conducive and inadequate training environments, disrupted service delivery, and distractions. These obstacles undermine learning experiences and outcomes.
